Boss guide
Dwarf King in Wizard Alchemy
The Dwarf King is an optional boss route, and its value is the bonus haul on a single kill: Copper Earring (~43%) and Flame Crest (~43%), plus a ~14% shot at Furnace Core. You do not have to fight it for Copper Earring — Mutant Archer Goblin and Mutant Warhammer Dwarf drop it at the same rate without the boss difficulty — so treat the fight as practice plus extra drops. Below you get the drop priority, a real prep list with a minimum magic target and named potions, and the races that make the fight easiest.

Source-backed drops
Priority order: Copper Earring first (30 Magic Power, ~43% here and the boss's best payoff), then Flame Crest (19 Magic Power, ~43%) as a side pickup. Treat Furnace Core as a bonus only — at ~14% it is far more efficient to farm from Mutant Warhammer Dwarf.
Route note
Do not force it early
Drop relationships are source-backed, but exact route efficiency still needs in-game testing. If you only need Copper Earring, Mutant Archer Goblin and Mutant Warhammer Dwarf drop it at the same ~43% without the boss difficulty, so fight the Dwarf King for the practice and the bonus drops, not because it is the only route.
Compare routesPreparation checklist
- Hit a real magic target first. Aim for roughly 70+ Magic Power before serious attempts so you can brew a Tornado (70) or Meteorite (74) damage potion instead of relying on a wand alone.
- Bring one damage and one survival potion. A practical pairing is Meteorite for damage and Ice Turtle (52) or Frost Thorns (80) for sustain — Ice Turtle deals damage back whenever you are hit, which suits a slow boss.
- Pick a forgiving race (see below) before spending rerolls on a glass cannon.
- Stack rerolls cheaply. The RELEASE and WIZARD codes give 5 rerolls each, so redeem them before chasing a better race.
Best races for this fight
- Undead (B) — safest first kill. It survives one fatal hit and regenerates after the invincibility cooldown, which buys you a free mistake while you learn the boss pattern.
- Thestrals (S) — fastest clears. +20% dark damage, +10% attack, and the Disaster status on hit give the highest damage output once you can already survive the fight.
- Ice Crystal (A) — sustained safety. +10% maximum health trades a little speed for a longer health bar, useful if your potions are still mid-tier.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you beat the Dwarf King in Wizard Alchemy?
Come in with a damage potion you can actually brew — Tornado at 70 Magic or Meteorite at 74 are realistic mid-game options — plus a survival pick like Ice Turtle (52) or Frost Thorns (80). A race with a safety net, such as Undead which survives one fatal hit, makes learning the fight far more forgiving than a glass-cannon roll.
What does the Dwarf King drop in Wizard Alchemy?
Dwarf King drops Copper Earring (~43%), Flame Crest (~43%), and Furnace Core (~14%). Copper Earring is the main reason to fight it. Furnace Core drops more reliably from Mutant Warhammer Dwarf, so do not rely on the boss for it.
